Beyonce’s Teenage Boyfriend Talks Split: She needed someone like Jay Z to take her to the next level.
Just days after a new Beyonce tell-all book was released —Becoming Beyoncé, by J Randy Taraborrelli— her teenage boyfriend, Lyndall Locke, is spilling a bit of tea. In an interview with The Mail, her first love, who she allegedly dated from the age of 12 until 22, says the pair was together until she began to tour world with Destiny’s Child.
Referring to her as a ‘simple girl from Houston’ he says Beyonce always was destined to be a star.
She was focused and knew what she wanted. She’d started singing when she was five and her parents supported her. There was a Beyoncé train on the fast track to fame and you were either on it or off it. Some people fell off the train and others jumped.
Locke also claims that her father, Mathew Knowles, was the mastermind of ‘Project Beyoncé’, as it was known in the family.
Let me tell you, there was no messing with Big Mac. He gave me the third degree about who I was and what my intentions were. He gave me the talk about “not messing anything up.”

I’m not sure if I see anything wrong with him speaking about her. He was with her for a decade, and after all, it was his life too. He’s done a two or three interviews over the years, but he’s not over-the-top. I have been happily married myself for almost ten years and have certainly talked about my first boyfriend more than three times. If my ex were famous, the story would be the same – “We had history and it was comprised of XYZ… ” What’s the big deal?
He is absolutely correct in telling his own story rather than have someone make one up. I guarantee the book will have something in it about them that is not true since it is unauthorized.
The guy is thirsty for attention..period!…
