TLC Fans Pissed At Group Over Kick Starter Album, Launch #TLCIsGoingToJail

If you were on Twitter last night, chances are you may have watched the trending topic #TLCIsgoingToJail erupt. From what we’re told, the hashtag was created after T-Boz replied to a fan who inquired about contributing to the group’s Kick Starter fund. See the tweet below.

As you’ll recall, earlier this year, TLC’s remaining members — Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas — raised more than $430,000 for their Kickstarter album. T-Boz told the LA Times in February,

We’ve always been known to do innovative, creative and out-of-the-box things. Kickstarter is one of those opportunities. It’s really ideal for artists who want to express themselves creatively without restrictions, and this is the perfect platform to do an album with our fans and have them involved.”
