(EXCLUSIVE) The Game – Concert Promoter Demands $500k, After Rapper Skips Performance
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, The Game (real name Jayceon Taylor) has blown off a legal battle with a concert promoter accusing him of screwing them out of hundreds of thousands, due to him canceling a performance at the Kentucky Derby and now they are demanding the judge award them over $500k in damages.
The rapper was sued by Dream Team Entertainment in Federal Court back in October 2014. The promoters explained that The Game signed a contract with them in April 2014. The agreement was for him to perform at Kentucky Derby Festival on May 2nd.
The company said they wired the rapper $35k following the deal being executed as a deposit for his performance. However, they say on the day of the concert they got a call from an associate of The Game. The associate said they he would not be performing if the rapper was not the headliner. The promotion company had numerous conversations with The Game’s associate but he did not appear at the Derby.
