‘All Def Movie Awards’ to Air on Fusion Sunday Night

Sunday night, Russell Simmons’ highly anticipated, All Def Movie Awards will air on Fusion. The show, which is said to be an answer to the Oscars diversity controversy, was taped Wednesday at Lure in LA, with comedian Tony Rock as host.
The evening included entertaining categories like the Mr. Steal Your Girl Award (won by Amber Rose) and the “best helpful white performance” accepted by Robin Thicke on behalf of Christoph Waltz in “Django Unchained”.
While Will Smith was missing in action, he did accept a lifetime achievement award via video.
Other celebrities in attendance included Karrueche Tran, Ice Cube and his son O’Shea, BET’s Stephen G. Hill, Cassie, comedian Gary Owen, Basketball Wives LA’s Malaysia Pargo and Brandi Maxielle, Quincy, Nick Cannon, comedian Mike Epps, Mechelle Epps, Next 15’s Laura Govan others.
