What Retirement? Lil Wayne Working On New Mixtape, ‘Dedication 6’ + Will Appear On ‘Undisputed’
Lil Wayne isn’t ready to retire just yet. As you’ll recall, earlier this month, the 33-year-old rapper shocked fans when he shared on social media, that he was hanging up his mic. He wrote on Twitter:
I AM NOW DEFENSELESS AND mentally DEFEATED & I leave gracefully and thankful I luh my fanz but I’m dun ain’t lookin for sympathy, just serenity I’m good y’all don’t trip
Wayne didn’t provide further detail about what triggered his announcement. At the time, it was speculated that his legal dispute with Birdman and Cash Money may be the cause for him making this decision. [ Wayne sued Birdman — the CEO of his label Cash Money Records — for $51 million.]
However, it appear that Tunechi will release new music. According to a new report, last month, while at the Bud Light party convention in Houston, Wayne mentioned in an interview that he is currently working on his Dedication 6 mixtape. When asked, “What do you say to fans who say they miss the “mixtape Weezy?” He revealed,
Dedication 6 coming soon.
He added,
I’m working currently working on it as we speak. I’m going to find some time to get with DJ Drama when it’s right and then give it to the world!
Rumor has it, today Lil Wayne will appear on “Undisputed” and discuss his rumored retirement with Skip Bayless.
