Wearing Yeezy Cleats Cost NFL’er DeAndre Hopkins $6k

Being fresh and fashionable on the field will cost you. Just ask NFL player DeAndre Hopkins. The 24-year-old Houston Texans wide receiver has received a fine for wearing the Kanye West-designed Yeezy cleats.

Hopkins has a multi-year contract with Adidas, but that’s not the cause for the fine. According to a new report, he received a fine of $6,000 for wearing the shoes.

Apparently, NFL rules say that shoes must have one dominant base color. Yeezy’s don’t fall in that category. Asked if he would wear the shoes again Hopkins said with a laugh:

Only if Kanye wants to pay the fine.

Ye has yet to respond.
