Are we the only one’s unaware that one of Vanessa Williams’ daughter is a well-known singer?

One of Vanessa’s daughter’s is Lion Babe singer Jillian Hervey. Apparently Jillian (aka Lion Babe) doesn’t share this information often, preferring to let her talent speak for itself. In a recent interview, she stated,
I never walk into a room and say, ‘Hi! I am Vanessa Williams’ daughter’? It helps me to become more authentic.
This week, Jillian posted a photo of her and her mother at Afropunk with the caption:
Love to mama for coming out to support us once again! @afropunk always is a special show for us so it’s amazing when family is in the building!
Lion Babe is a neo soul duo that formed in New York City. The duo is made up of singer Jillian Hervey and record producer Lucas Goodman.
Following their meeting through a mutual friend, the pair released the single “Treat Me Like Fire” (2012), which raised their profile and led them to sign a record deal with Interscope. Following the signing, the duo released their self-titled debut EP in 2014.

Is she really looking for attention?? Or do you feel out of the loop?? I’ve always known that Vanessa was Jillian’s mother. She’s always used her real last name (her dad’s name). She’s not looking for attention, or what you consider being attention. Their music is great and if you haven’t heard it, you’re missing out. Stop listening to the bullshit you hear on the radio, and educate yourself on what’s good to hear
Its been known for sometime that Vanessa gave birth to Jillian. Jillian is a great singer in her own right!!! Her voice has been constantly compared to Erykah Badu and I love their album “Begin”. Check it out… Oh yeah, the album came out this year in February
