Mary J. Blige Reveals Ex Kendu Was Misappropriating Her Money
More unfortunate drama brewing in Mary J. Blige’s divorce with her ex and former manager Martin ‘Kendu’ Isaacs. This week, it was reported that Kendu wanted spousal support. However, Blige not only asks the judge to deny this request, but alleges that her estranged husband had been irresponsibly spending their money. In court documents, she claims Isaacs had been misappropriating money for two years, spending $420,000 in travel charges for hotels and airfare that were not related to her business and did not include her. In court docs, she writes:

She alleges that she had been struggling with debt recently and made no money from the European leg of her recent tour.
[Isaacs] suggests we lived a lavish lifestyle and in fact, we over spent and we are in significant debt. We owe millions of dollars in taxes and have significant advances that have to be recouped by record companies.
Blige says that she has been paying for a New Jersey home they share as well as a storage facility that holds personal property. She says that Isaacs is holding onto one of her Grammy Awards and three leased cars that were prepaid by her.

She also feels that she should no longer be responsible for supporting his parents and his children from a previous marriage, as her income was used for that during their marriage, rather than his.
As previously reported, Blige filed for divorce from Isaacs in July after 13 years of marriage. Isaacs has yet to comment publicly.

Please get your facts straight and speak correct English. Kendu (not Mary) fired Mary’s staff including her sister and replaced them with people he thought were a “better fit”. As human beings, we don’t want to go into marriages thinking our significant other would use us, cheat on us, disrespect us, and then rob us blind. Obviously, she trusted her husband and thought he hand her best interests at heart. He proved otherwise.
The heart is a treacherous thing, and Mary is no different from any of us when it comes to the love department. It’s easy for someone to shake their head and say what they wouldn’t have allowed. Instead of passing judgment, I hope this situation does not make her heart cold. Because clearly, she has a heart of gold to have been supporting a bum, his kids AND his parents.
