Billy Brown To Star In ‘Proud Mary’
Actor Billy Brown has just booked a new gig! Many may know Brown as Nate Lahey – Viola Davis’ favorite lover and enemy – on ABC’s hit-legal-drama How to Get Away With Murder. The 46-year-old actor has just been added to the cast of Screen Gem’s new thriller “Proud Mary” directed by Babak Najafi.
Brown will be starring alongside Golden Globe winner, Taraji P. Henson, who will portray a hit woman whose maternal instincts that have been set ablaze when she meets a young boy. Details on Brown’s role hasn’t been revealed.
Brown had recurring roles on FX’s Sons of Anarchy, CBS’ Hostages and Showtime’s Dexter. His film roles include “Cloverfield,” “Lakeview Terrace,” “Star Trek,” and “Race To Witch Mountain.” Production is set to start in Boston this April. There is no set date for when the film will hit theaters.
