Rick Ross Talks Split w/ Lira Galore, Denies Dating India Love

This week, Rick Ross took his talents to The Wendy Williams Show. Promoting his latest album “Rather You Than Me,” the four-time Grammy nominated rapper, discussed everything from his love life including his feelings on ex-fiance Lira Galore, what sparked the infamous ‘Idols Become Rivals’ track aimed at Birdman and why he warned Meek Mill about Nicki Minaj. Check out the excerpts below.

On if LHHA’s Joseline Hernandez was a girlfriend or a hook up: 

She wasn’t. That [taking the photo] just felt right ….for that moment.

On if he would get back with ex-fiance Lira Galore: 

I’m focused on other things right now. She still looks amazing.

On what went wrong their relationship: 

I can’t put a finger on anything that went wrong, it was just one of those things..Ya know? Well, it just didn’t work out. She didn’t do anything to me that I can recall, ya know, it just didn’t work out. She was super cool, she’s still super sexy and real fun to be with, we partied a lot.

On if he got the engagement ring back:

I don’t recall how we handled the ring. It was an extremely nice ring, I just whenever, however, we worked it out she was cool with it, cause that’s what I wanted..that’s what [was] more important to me.

On dating if he is India Love: 

I’m just attracted to creativity. And what a lot of people don’t know about India is that she’s an incredible artist. She’s not signed to MMG, she’s helping me out with Rich Haircare, a new product that I’m apart of.

On addressing Birdman on the song “Idols Become Rivals”:

I just felt like that time is now. I just feel like we’re in a time now as brothers the examples we set now for the youth. I remember being the same ones watching Ice Cube ….watching Luke Records …Russell Simmons, we setting a precedence right now for the future and that’s not what we want them to see.

On his relationship with Birdman: 

I have NONE! I have none. There’s no need to at this point.

On warning Meek Mill about Nicki Minaj: 

Yes that’s a fact. Just that big brother love. It wasn’t nothing personal against Nicki. It could’ve been Keisha off the block. That was just me being a big brother. That was just my opinion; be careful. Sometimes you have to just let your little brother live. You can’t stop your little brother from living. You just give your advice and support them no matter what decision they make.
