Phaedra Parks Still Legally Married to Apollo Nida
Some may consider this one of the longest divorces, ever. Legally, Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida are very much still married. In fact, the divorce has reportedly been put on hold. For the past few months, Nida has been challenging his divorce to the Real Housewives of Atlanta star. [Click here, here and here for the backstory].
Reportedly, the reason the judge has halted finalizing their divorce is because Phaedra misspelled their last name, listing it on the court document as ‘Nita’, not ‘Nida’. Apollo, who is currently incarcerated (serving an 8 year sentence), informed the court that he was to attend future divorce proceedings from jail. However, he says that he wasn’t informed of the hearing or that the divorce was nearly finalized. Phaedra’s rep says,
It’s very confusing why a man who is engaged and enjoys frequent visits with his fiancée would work so aggressively to avoid ending his marriage. Regardless, Phaedra is reviewing her options with her attorney to determine the most efficient path toward ending this marriage so she can move forward and focus on raising strong, healthy and happy children.
