Actress/TV host Garcelle Beauvais and producer Lisa L. Wilson have ventured into the production game! The pair have created a new multimedia production company called Beauvais Wilson Productions. The company will develop and produce stories with a diverse voice in TV, film, digital and independent projects. Garcelle says,
We’ve always had a love for movies and filmmaking. Now seeing how the industry has changed, there’s a lot more need for content across the board. Our company will give us the opportunity to control the narrative and create dynamic stories.
She adds,
Women like Nina Jacobson, Drew Barrymore and Ava DuVernay have opened the door for more women producers.
Garcelle’s most recent credits include Grimm, Hell’s Kitchen, Hollywood Today Live, The Magicians and GSN’s Window Warriors. She will appear in this summer’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. Lisa is an Emmy-winning producer, writer and development exec working in live news and entertainment, musical performances and scripted television.
