Rihanna & Lupita N’yongo Film Heading To Netflix
It’s happening! A film starring Rihanna and Lupita Nyong’o is underway.
Ava DuVernay will direct, while Issa Rae will write the screen play.
Reportedly, Netflix has nabbed the project, beating out multiple other suitors.
As you may or may not know, the project was sparked on twitter, and began as an online meme which was a real photo taken in 2014 of the two women in the front row of a Miu Miu fashion show.

The meme went viral, prompting fans to suggest that it should be turned into a movie.
DuVernay (who is in post-production on A Wrinkle in Time for Disney) and Rae (whose second season of HBO’s Insecure will debut on July 23) were enlisted, thanks to Twitter and soon after, all four women agreed. No additional details about the project have been released.
