Amber Rose Compares N-Word To Women Owning Term ‘Slut’
Amber Rose is continuing the conversation surrounding feminism. During a recent interview, the model, author and TV personality explained why the term slut or hoe shouldn’t really exist. She explained,
There’s only women owning their sexuality that makes men and other women feel uncomfortable so in turn they give us derogatory labels to put us down and make us feel inferior. That’s all it is.
When asked about how some women refer to themselves as ‘sluts’ and ‘hoes’, she responded,
It’s the same way as black people use the n-word as a positive word now. It’s still controversial, some people don’t like that, right? It’s still very controversial. Some people don’t like that. Right? But, it makes Black people feel comfortable that they took the word back. That’s it. It’s the same thing as slut.
