Viola Davis’ Husband To Guest Star On HTGAWM
Viola Davis’ better half is heading to the small screen. Julius Tennon, Viola’s producing partner and husband, is set to join the fourth season of How To Get Away With Murder. According to a report, Julius has snagged an undisclosed guest starring role. For now, he has been booked for one episode.
Tennon is Co-President of JuVee Productions, which he founded with Davis. The production company is artist-driven and seeks to produce economical yet premium and character-driven stories with an emphasis on narratives from a diverse range of emerging and established voices. Last year, the pair signed an overall deal with ABC Studios, where they will develop new projects for broadcast, cable, and streaming services through JuVee for ABC Studios and its cable/digital division ABC Signature. Tennon’s notable credits include: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Small Soldiers (1998) and Dazed and Confused (1993).
How to Get Away with Murder was created by Peter Nowalk, and produced by Shonda Rhimes and ABC Studios. The series airs on ABC as part of a night of programming all under Rhimes’s ShondaLand production company. Davis stars as Annalise Keating, a law professor at a prestigious Philadelphia university who, with five of her students, becomes entwined in a murder plot. The show features an ensemble cast with Alfred Enoch, Jack Falahee, Aja Naomi King, Matt McGorry, and Karla Souza as Keating’s students, Charlie Weber and Liza Weil as her employees and Billy Brown as a detective with the Philadelphia Police Department, and Annalise’s lover. From season three onward, Conrad Ricamora was added to the main cast after recurring heavily in the previous two seasons.
