Lance Gross Lands Recurring Role On “STAR”
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, Lance Gross is taking his talents to Fox’s hit series, “STAR”. Sources tell us that Gross will make a recurring role on season two.
Mike Epps, Evan Ross, Luke James and a few other familiar faces will also appear on the new season. No additional details about Gross’ role has yet been confirmed.
Star is a musical drama TV series created by Lee Daniels and Tom Donaghy for Fox. It revolves around three talented young singers who navigate the music business on their road to success. The series, which is set in Atlanta, consists of original music, along with musical fantasy sequences, as dreams of the future. Queen Latifah, Benjamin Bratt, Amiyah Scott and Quincy Brown co-star. The second season will premiere on September 27.
Gross is best known for his role as Calvin Payne on the TBS sitcom Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, as well as appearing in other Tyler Perry productions such as theĀ “Meet the Browns” (2008) film and Tyler Perry’s “Temptations: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor” (2013). He also co-starred in 2010’s “Our Family Wedding” alongside Forest Whitaker, Carlos Mencia, America Ferrera, and Regina King. He also starred as Secret Service Agent Marcus Finley in NBC’s political drama Crisis.
Gross is also starring in the new TV ONE movie, “When Love Kills”.
