Mona Scott-Young Prepping New Reality Show
Mona Scott-Young is expanding her portfolio. With the success of the Love & Hip-Hop franchise, the 50-year-old reality TV maven is adding yet another show to her dossier. The new show is seemingly centered around a fashion designer and his family. In fact, when she met the designer that will star in her new show, she was drawn to his “passion” and ambition despite a childhood of health issues and family strife. Mona jokes,
He says the word ‘luxury’ more times than any other person I’ve ever met.
Earlier this year, in an exclusive with theJasmineBRAND.com, Scott-Young talked to us about the LHH franchise expanding into new cities explaining,
Houston I love. We wanted to do Houston and we went into Houston to cast and we may go back to Houston but I think it’s pretty common knowledge that we’re doing Miami. Yes! So Miami is coming up but yeah I would love to do Houston. Houston is one of my favorite cities that and New Orleans. Yes!
As previously reported, Xscape has teamed up with Scott-Young, via her Monami Entertainment Company, to produce an authorized Xscape biopic featuring the group’s original members, Kandi Burruss-Tucker, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, and sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott.
No further details have been released about the upcoming show.
