Mona Scott-Young is expanding her portfolio. With the success of the Love & Hip-Hop franchise, the 50-year-old reality TV maven is adding yet another show to her dossier. The new show is seemingly centered around a fashion designer and his family. In fact, when she met the designer that will star in her new show, she was drawn to his “passion” and ambition despite a childhood of health issues and family strife. Mona jokes,

Earlier this year, in an exclusive with theJasmineBRAND.com, Scott-Young talked to us about the LHH franchise expanding into new cities explaining,
Houston I love. We wanted to do Houston and we went into Houston to cast and we may go back to Houston but I think it’s pretty common knowledge that we’re doing Miami. Yes! So Miami is coming up but yeah I would love to do Houston. Houston is one of my favorite cities that and New Orleans. Yes!
As previously reported, Xscape has teamed up with Scott-Young, via her Monami Entertainment Company, to produce an authorized Xscape biopic featuring the group’s original members, Kandi Burruss-Tucker, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, and sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott.
No further details have been released about the upcoming show.
