NFL Reacts To Rumors Jay-Z Turned Down Super Bowl Performance
NFL Reacts To Jay-Z’s Superbowl Decline
The NFL is responding to reports that Jay-Z turned down an invitation to perform at halftime of Super Bowl LII. League spokesman Brian McCarthy stated,
No decisions have been made on the performer(s) and we are not going to speculate on particular artists. Along with Pepsi, we know that we will put on a spectacular show. When it is time to announce her name we will do it. Or his name. Or their names.
His alleged rejection comes only a few days after his tribute to former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick at one of his concerts.
Jay-Z’s wife, Beyonce, was the halftime performer for Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans in February 2013.
