Tyrese Being Investigated By Child Services
The battle between Tyrese and his ex wife, Norma Gibson, continues. On Monday, the ‘Fast & Furious‘ actor and Norma reported to court over their 10-year-old daughter Shayla. Reportedly, DCFS is now investigating Tyrese over claims that he physically beat their daughter. Norma is said to be attempting to get a permanent restraining order prohibiting him from physically disciplining their child. Norma also wants full physical and legal custody. Tyrese is yet to comment publicly about DCFS’ investigation.
As previously reported, Norma was granted a temporary restraining order against the actor. Last month, physical and legal custody of their daughter was temporarily granted to her. Tyrese is to stay 100 yards away from both Norma and Shayla. He is also ordered to say away from Norma’s home. He was not granted visitation rights before the hearing date. In court documents, Tyrese’s ex accused him of of abusing their daughter on Aug. 19. She alleges the actor hit their kid “between 12 and 16 times” and
pushed our daughter to the ground, pinned her face down, put his knees on her back, grabbed her hands with one arm and beat her with the other.
Norma also claimed that Shayla told her,
Mum, Dad beat me so hard that it hurts when I sit down.
Norma also alleges Tyrese was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder as well as manic behavior by three psychotherapists — which she said he denied. In her declaration, she also claims that he had hit her
a number of times in the past including when I was pregnant with our daughter.
Tyrese posted a lengthy open letter to Norma. He also disputed Norma’s claims.
Tyrese and Norma were married for two years up until 2009. Tyrese is now married to Samantha Lee.
