Jamie Foxx’s “White Famous” Starring Jay Pharoah Canceled
According to reports, the plug has been pulled on Showtime’s “White Famous”. The show was executive produced by Jamie Foxx and starred Jay Pharoah.
Reportedly, the network has decided not to give the comedy a second series because of poor ratings.
White Famous was based on the life of Jamie Foxx and premiered in October. It was co-created by Tom Kapinos, Chris Spencer and Buddy Lewis, directed by Tim Story and Foxx, who was a recurring guest star.
It was set in the same universe as Kapinos’s previous show, Californication, and featured some secondary characters from that series.
Foxx nor Pharoah have yet to comment.
