Kodak Black Settles $13k Legal Battle
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports Kodak Black (real name Dieuson Octave) has settled a legal battle over a BMW that was totaled. The 20-year-old rapper has reached a settlement to end the case.
On November 20, Equity Auto Finance sued Kodak over his BMW lease. The suit explained the rapper entered into a contract with Vista Motors back in February 2016. The deal was for the purchase of a 2016 BMW X4 automobile.
Kodak was accused of defaulting on the contract by failing to make the monthly payments and/or failing to maintain insurance on the car. Per the contract, Kodak was to pay 60 monthly payments of $1,081.61
The car was destroyed in an accident on July 5th, 2017. The company sued the rapper for $13,728.98 that was unpaid.
Earlier this month, docs were filed explaining Kodak and Equity Auto reached a settlement in the case. As a result the entire lawsuit was dismissed and the case was closed officially.
