Sade Releasing 1st Song In 7 Years On ‘Wrinkle In Time’ Soundtrack
Sade is officially coming out of retirement. On Wednesday (February 29th), director Ava DuVernay announced that the legendary singer would be featured on the forthcoming ‘Wrinkle In Time’ soundtrack. The new song is called “Flower of the Universe”. Ava tweeted,
I never thought she’d say yes, but asked anyway. She was kind + giving. A goddess. We began a journey together that I’ll never forget. Proud to announce that Sade has created an original song for WRINKLE IN TIME. It’s entitled ‘Flower of the Universe.’ And it’s a dream come true.
DuVernay’s film is an adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s legendary 1962 children’s book and stars Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling.
