Michelle Obama Has Dance Party w/ Girl Who Marveled At Her Portrait

Hands down, this is probably the best video you’ll watch today! Last week a photo went viral of a young girl impressively staring over Michelle Obama’s portrait at the National Portrait Gallery. The former first lady caught wind of the adorable moment and decided to pay her a visit.

The photo was taken by Ben Hines. The painting of Obama’s likeness was commissioned work by artist Amy Sherald. While visiting Obama’s portrait, Hines took the photo of the little girl (named Parker Curry) who stared at the former FLOTUS’ portrait. Hines captioned it,

Donna Hines and I made a pilgrimage today and we were delighted to wait in line behind this fellow art lover and hopeful patriot. 

Parker and her mother met wit Obama, who shared a few sweet moments between the two.

Parker, I’m so glad I had the chance to meet you today (and for the dance party)! Keep on dreaming big for yourself…and maybe one day I’ll proudly look up at a portrait of you!
