Trey Songz Will Not Face Felony Charges For Allegedly Hitting Woman
According to reports, Trey Songz will not face felony charges over an alleged incident involving him and Andrea Buera. Reportedly, there were numerous witness statements contradicting what Buera says happened at the singer’s Hollywood Hills party.
The case will now be referred to the L.A. City Attorney. They will decide whether or not to charge him with the lesser charge of misdemeanor domestic violence.
As previously reported, on March 19th Songz surrendered to LAPD, facing a felony domestic violence charge. He was booked at 6 a.m. and was released by 8 a.m. Buera alleged that the singer choked and punched her last month at a party at his Hollywood Hills home.
She alleges that Songz became angry when he saw her speaking to another man. A judge granted her a temporary restraining order. Around the time that the he surrendered himself, he released a statement via Twitter.
