Meek Mill May Be Released From Jail On Monday
There are rumors swirling that Meek Mill (real name Robert Rihmeek Williams) may be released from jail as early as next Monday, April 16th.
Rapper T.I. reposted a message on social media, sharing this news.
According to reports, the judge has ordered Mill’s legal team to return to court Monday for a status hearing, though it was not immediately clear what issues might be discussed.
On Wednesday morning, Mayor Kenney visited Mill at the state prison in Chester, according to his office, joining a roster of athletes, celebrities, and business moguls who have recently visited him.
Kenney’s spokeswoman, Ajeenah Amir, said the mayor spent about an hour with Mill after being invited by Michael Rubin, the billionaire co-owner of the 76ers, who has become one of Mill’s biggest advocates. Kenney’s rep said in an email,
[He] believes [Mill] would better serve the community outside of prison, and that his case makes clear and urgent the desperate need to continue working with our partners to reform the criminal justice system.
No additional details have been released.
