Kim Kardashian Wants Death Row Inmate Kevin Cooper Released, Reality Star Told To ‘Go Away’ By Michaela Angela Davis
Kim Kardashian West is turning her attention to another person in need. After successfully getting Alice Marie Johnson released from prison after serving 21 years, West has turned her attention to the case of Kevin Cooper – a San Quentin Prison death row inmate.
Since being convicted for the murder of a California family, Cooper has maintained his innocence, and exhausted all of his appeals. She is asking California Gov. Edmund Brown to retest DNA the evidence. The reality TV queen tweeted:
Governor Brown, can you please test the DNA of Kevin Cooper?
In 1983, Douglas and Peggy Ryen, their 10-year-old daughter, Jessica, and friend Chris Hughes, were murdered in Chino Hills. The sole survivor of the murder, the Ryen’s 8-year-old son, Joshua, insisted that it was “three of four white men” who killed his family, but the San Bernadino Sheriff’s Department chose to focus on Copper and have been accused of tampering with evidence. Cooper was convicted in 1985.
Meanwhile, writer/stylist Michaela Angela Davis isn’t here for the cornrows Kim rocked at the MTV Movie Awards this weekend. Many feel that Kim is making a constant effort to align herself with traditionally Black trends. Davis commented:
go. away.
