Kid Fury expresses his excitement on Instagram. He captioned the post,
@kidfury All I can say is that I’m excited and terrified and super
grateful. Thank you to @lenawaithe @jasonkimny and @chloepisello for
guiding me. Thanks to @hbo for everything. I’m gonna go run around and
scream now.
The show is described as,
…a surreal dark comedy that follows Greg, a 20-something sarcastic gay black man navigating adulthood and responsibility in New York City while struggling to wrap his head around his undiagnosed clinical depression.
Kid Fury, whose real name is also Greg, is the host of popular podcast, “The Read.” He and his hilarious co-host, Crissles, have taken the podcast on the road, with several sold out live shows across
the U.S. and Europe. “The Read” recently celebrated its five year anniversary with this sold out show at the Apollo theater in New York. Kid Fury has also done a solo live show tour called “Furious Thoughts
Live,” and first starred on season two of Netflix’s “Dear White People.”
