Bobby Brown Crops Out Ralph Tresvant

Is there underlying tension between Bobby Brown and Ralph Tresvant? Recently, the 49-year-old singer posted a photo on social media of New Edition. However, the photo didn’t include Ralph. Bobby captioned the photo:

[FYI: In 1978, Bobby Brown, Michael Bivins, and Ricky Bell started a vocal group. The group had included two other friends Travis Pettus and Corey Rackley. All five kids lived in the Orchard Park Projects in Roxbury, Boston.

Rackley left the group and was replaced by another neighborhood friend Ralph Tresvant, whom Bell, Bivins, and Brown were already acquainted with and who sang with Ricky in a group called Ricky & Ralph. Travis Pettus eventually would leave the group as well. Later, Payne brought in his nephew Ronnie DeVoe to replace Pettus as the group’s fifth member.]

Nonetheless, there was a lot of speculation on her social media post about the photo. One person commented,

Where tf is RALPH??what’s their beef?? These mean are damn near 60…..and still the antics. Which sucks because they’re so AWESOME TOGETHER.

Another social media user wrote,

Even though I LOVE me some NE…Am I the only one that had to sing it first. Bobby, Ronnie, Ricky annnndddd……

And someone else weighed in,

the members of ne has not said one mean word about ralph. its ralph doing all the negative talking. on their biopic he was suppossed to always be the one that tried to bring unity. guess thats a lie. and its was jg and ralph DO NOT own the name. mike biv and ronnie devoe stated that fact. but they are too old for continued foolishness.
