Ex Love & Hip Hop Star Hazel-E: They Say I Look Like A White Woman, Maybe Because I Look Expensive!
Hazel-E is making headlines for a recent social media post. Over the weekend, the former Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star was flooded with disapproval and criticism after sharing a racially charged caption about her appearance.
Hazel shared the photo and caption in discussion to her Instagram story over the weekend. She is pictured posing in an elevator, gowned in a twinkling black dress, accompanied with a red lip which help support the fullness of her pouted lips. Her caption read,
“They say I look like a white woman…maybe it’s cuz I look expensive bitch.”
In the past, Hazel has been challenged about her negative remarks towards dark skinned women on Iyanla: Fix My Life. In the episode, Vanzant ran through Hazel’s past remarks, while ultimately attempting to get to the root of her apparent colorism issue. As the show wrapped, it seemed Hazel was on track for clarity and understanding.
The sentiments towards dark skin women, which she was confronted about almost a year later, were far from polite.
In late 2017, Hazel trashed dark skin women who she claims were attacking her about her plastic surgery and complexion. She took to Instagram to speak her two cents about being ridiculed, she wrote,
“ I see all you black a** bitches that hate me! Stop bleaching your skin and fix the inside first and maybe all you hoes wouldn’t be so mad. Love the skin you in ladies …it takes a village to take me out, but what y’all fail to realize I’m still on top and none of you bitches will ever compare to me or be on my level.”
A few Instagram users had a lot to say about her most recent image. A user by the name of @iamgjones wrote,
“She done redid her whole face, that ain’t her, all that surgery to still have to pound in makeup GOOD JOB DUMMY”
@candace_est_1983 stated,
“naw you just look like a white woman with lots of make up which is the new IT right now. You definitely don’t have that popping melanin”
While @youneedonna questioned,
“She’s really going to say that after Iyanla had her recite those lyrics to Harriet Tubman?!”
