Ex-NFL Star Anquan Boldin Scores Judgment Legal Battle w/ Clothing Designer
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, Anquan Boldin was awarded a default judgment in the amount of $56,386.68 that will grow with interest until paid off. The order states the judgment is the $18,494 owed in principal but with interest and other damages it swelled to the $56k.
Earlier this year, the former NFL star filed suit against a Florida-based named Dudley Rayborn.
According to court docs, Rayborn runs a custom clothing business named “Sir Dudley’s Custom Clothier”. Boldin claimed to have spent a total of $18,494.95 for 12 shirts ($3,300), 6 Sport Coats (ranging from $1,500 – $2,500 each) and 6 Pants ($295 – $500 each)
He accuses Rayborn of taking the money, but never delivering the clothes. The docs reveal Rayborn allegedly told Boldin he would refund his entire check by Thanksgiving but failed to do so.
Boldin sued accusing Rayborn of civil theft and breach of contract. He is seeking damages in the amount of $55,482.82 plus interest and attorney fees.
Rayborn never showed up to court to respond to the allegations and as a result the judge granted the default judgment in favor of Boldin.
