Adam Housely Addresses Allegations Of Being Racist and His Former Role As Fox News Anchor

Tamera Mowry made headlines for defending her husband, Adam Housely on her daytime talk show, The Real. In what seemed to be a heated conversation, Mowry diligently denied her husband being a racist, and in support of his wife’s sentiments, Housely went on Twitter defending himself Monday.

Through a thread of tweets, the former Fox News anchor detailed why he feels he is not a racist, while also addressing the suspicions about him leaving the news network. He also presented he and his wife’s supposed political views on the social media platform.

This is just for clarification so if you see any stupid people spewing lies…per usual…have them refer to this tweet. @TameraMowryTwo and I did not support Trump or Hillary and nowhere has there ever been anything said to prove such.

Adding,

No I am not racist, or insensitive, or any other crap you spew. Yes I love people from all walks of life. I love to cook, be with my kids, coach soccer, tell stories, music of all types, people of all types.

He then elaborated on his his position while being at Fox,

Also…at Fox I worked in something called THE NEWS DIVISION. I covered fires…about 50…hurricanes..11…tsunamis 2…War Zones 3…Earthquakes 5….terror attacks & shootings..1 is too many

Recently, Housely quit Fox News because he allegedly was not fond of the channel’s “direction.” He was the second anchor to leave the network in August. A source close to the departure stated the reason he left is because,

He’s not doing the type of journalism he wants to be doing, and he is unhappy with the tone of the conversation of the channel.

He felt it was necessary to address this prevalent concern of him being racist via Twitter, because it is a medium for his statements to be on “record,” and also because if he remained silent, it would translate to him being consensual to the claims made against him. He readdressed the ongoing conversation Wednesday evening, in hopes to draw a conclusion. He expressed how he and his wife have had to combat discrimination for a prolonged period of time.

In 2014, Tamera opened up about the scrutiny she endures for being in an interracial marriage to Oprah,

I get called ‘White man’s whore.’ The new one was, ‘Back in the day, you cost $300, but now you’re giving it to him for free.’
