Eddie Murphy Tapped To Star In ‘Grumpy Old Men’ Remake
The 1993 classic film, Grumpy Old Men is getting a breath of new life thanks to Eddie Murphy who has been tapped to star in a remake of the film. Tim Story, director of the Ride Along and Think Like A Man franchises, will be directing the new Grumpy adaptation in which Eddie will portray one of the feuding senior citizens made famous by Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. John Davis will be returning to the Grumpy Old Men franchise to produce the new Eddie Murphy film.
There’s no word as to who will play opposite Murphy, however, there are rumors swirling that Samuel L. Jackson could take the role. If so, this film could be destined for comedic gold.
While the film is just in its beginning stages, Eddie Murphy is currently working on another remake alongside Mike Epps, Dolemite Is My Name. That film is also being produced by John Davis.
