Usher Preps Release For 9th Studio Album – “A”
Amidst Usher’s legal drama, the singer who brought fans “Confessions” in 2004 is preparing for his ninth studio album to be released on Friday. The album titled “A” – which is short for Atlanta – will feature eight tracks, expected to be produced by Atlanta mega producer, Zaytoven. The singer has dropped hints about being in the studio for the past few months, and long time friend and producer Jermaine Dupri has even mentioned he was working with Usher on the upcoming project, as well.

On Thursday, Usher took to his Instagram to share a collage of video clips for the promotion of the album. Each clip contains a different snippet from one of the tracks on the album. The album titled is significant to Atlanta. In the center of the collage, there is an “A,” and the clip contains a quick overview of the culture of Atlanta through the eyes of Usher.

No word if the album will contain any features. It will be available on all streaming platforms at midnight. It will also be his first stab at new music since the release of his album “Hard II Love” which was released in 2016. Outside of his music, Usher has been in the media for his ongoing court battle.

Two women and one man are accusing the singer of exposing them to herpes. The last update for the case was released in August – the judge ordered the “Confessions” crooner to hand over necessary documents regarding his insurance, doctor, and treatment information. The trial is slated to take place February 2019 in Los Angeles.
