Oprah Campaigning For Stacey Abrams

Oprah Winfrey Campaiging For Stacey Abrams
Oprah Winfrey will be making an appearance with Georgia Democratic candidate for governor, Stacey Abrams in the coming days of Election Day on Nov. 6th. Winfrey is expected to be taking time out of her schedule to travel to Marietta and Decatur, GA to attend town hall meetings and door-knocks along with democratic candidate.
Abrams released a statement about having Oprah come with her as she trudges through the last leg of her campaign leg.
Oprah Winfrey has inspired so many of us through the years with her unparalleled ability to form real connections and strengthen the bonds of family and community. I am honored to have Oprah join me for uplifting and honest conversations with voters about the clear choice before us in this election and the boundless potential of Georgians.

Although Winfrey delivered a powerful speech at the Golden Globes which suspected she might take a stab at the 2020 Presidential election, she has confirmed she has no plans on going into politics. In the past, she has endorsed Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Carol Moseley Braun (in 1992).
If elected, Abrams would be the first black woman in U.S. government to be elected. Since her running, she has been endorsed by Maxine Waters, Barack Obama, Jimmy Carter, Hillary Clinton, and Will Ferrell.
