Snoop Dogg To Receive A Star On The Hollywood Walk of Fame
Uncle Snoop is finally getting the recognition he so rightfully deserves. According to reports, Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Broadus Jr., will be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 19th.
Snoop’s star will be the 2651st star on Hollywood Blvd and will live right in front of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
At 47 years old, his debut album Doggystyle dropped in 1993 and sold a million copies in its first week. The album went 4x platinum in 1994. He’s since had a music career that has spanned over 20 years and transcended across genres including reggae, funk, and gospel. Snoop has also worked in film and television and most recently worked on a cookbook.
Ana Martinez, the producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, says of Snoop:
Snoop Dogg is one of those people who can do anything. He raps, he acts, he hosts a television show, he cooks, and helps community kids with his philanthropic work. He is a man of the ages and we welcome him to our Hollywood Walk of Fame.
