‘Surviving R. Kelly’ Docu Screening Evacuated Over Gun Threat
Very scary news! According to reports, a screening for “Surviving R.Kelly” was evacuated over a gun threat. The screening took place in New York City Tuesday evening at NeueHouse Madison Square in the Gramercy area of Manhattan.
Reportedly, the event was evacuated as a precaution after a gun threat was called into the event.
The private event was to include a screening and Q&A sessions. The panelists were Tarana Burke, the founder of the Me Too movement; R. Kelly accusers Kitti Jones, Jerhonda Pace, Lisa Van Allen and Asante McGee; and executive producer Brie Miranda Bryant.
No additional details about the incident have been shared. Lifetime debuts the documentary series, Surviving R. Kelly, in a special three-night-event, beginning Thursday, January 3 at 9pm ET/PT. Two additional hours will premiere on Friday, January 4, at 9pm ET/PT and the final installment of the six-part documentary series will debut on Saturday, January 5, at 9pm ET/PT.
