Kevin Hart Posts Cryptic Message Amid Oscars Drama
Kevin Hart Posts Cryptic Message Oscars Controversy
Comedian Kevin Hart seems to be trying his best to deal with the backlash of his recently exposed anti-gay tweets from 2009. Upon his announcement of being chosen to host the 2019 Academy Awards, the tweets were leaked on social media. Kevin later insinuated that the Academy gave him an ultimatum of either apologizing for the tweets or being removed from his position. Instead, Kevin decided to step down as host of the awards show. But from the looks of his recent Instagram post, Kevin is using the backlash as motivation. The post read:
“People will throw stones at you. Don’t throw them back. Collect them all and build an empire.”
Several of Kevin’s friends and fellow comedians have come to his defense. His fellow “Plastic Cup Boyz” comedian, Na’im Lynn, feels Kevin should stop addressing his Oscars controversy. He commented on Kevin’s post:
“@naimlynn In my best Strange’ voice “you shouldn’t have to blow your own hoooooorn” The people rode for you. Don’t address it again. We got other shit to do.”

Perhaps no one has been rode for Kevin as hard as “Wild’n Out” host, Nick Cannon. He took it upon himself to dig into the Twitterverse and unveil similar anti-gay tweets from white comediennes, such as Sarah Silverman, Amy Schumer, and Chelsea Handler. He tweeted:
“Interesting I wonder if there was any backlash here…”
“The Real” host Loni Love feels the comedy community should take Kevin’s incident as a learning opportunity to discuss how the LGBTQ community is used as a laughing matter. She also mentioned that she and Kevin had a private conversation about it.
How do you think Kevin Hart is handling his Oscars backlash? Let us know in the comments.
