Offset & Bone Thugz N Harmony’s Layzie Bone Argue Over “Best Group” Title

Who would have even considered that Migos vs Bone Thugz N Harmony would be a topic of discussion? Layzie Bone (real name Steven Howse) of the popular 90s rap group Bone Thugz N Harmony took to his Instagram page,  seemingly without being provoked, to declare why his legendary group is better than Atlanta sensation, Migos. The post is in response to an old quote Cardi B‘s soon-to-be ex Offset gave XXL about his group. Migos declared this to XXL:

“[We are] the biggest group in the world, to ever exist.”

Offset explained why:

“‘Cause we can do individual and then go as a group.”

Layzie Bone didn’t take a liking to that, no matter how late he was with a response. He captioned:

“@thereallayziebone Migo’s the biggest rap group ever??? These Lil niggaz got the rap game fucked up. I accept that challenge. Nah homies y’all niggaz Lil niggaz compared to Bone Thugs N Harmony. @migos @offsetyrn @quavohuncho @yrntakeoff”

Offset wants Layzie Bone to put his money where his mouth is to measure their successes against each other’s. He issued this comment to Layzie’s claim:

“@offsetyrn Let’s have a bankroll challenge”

Layzie clapped back, asserting that younger artists value money over skill. He said:

“@thereallayziebone @offsetyrn naw n*gga, that’s what’s wrong with y’all n*ggaz y’all think money equal respect IT DOESNT this is a SKILLS CHALLENE me against you and my group against yours. Best group ever Challenge get yow bars up youngin. You gone need that bread for early retirement Boy”

Layzie Bone, then, proceeded to troll not only Offset, Quavo, and Takeoff – but he addressed their Quality Control Music label heads: Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “Pee” Thomas.

On the bright side, Layzie Bone complimented Migos’ use of ad-libs in a literally sideways post. He said:

“@thereallayziebone Wtf is this clown shit and the clown trophy goes to @migos matter fact take 3 trophies FYI this video is posted sideways purposely for coming at some real mf G’s sideways. Y’all gone have to do a lot better than that. And BTW if you niggaz would’ve claimed the greatest ad lib.‘s I would’ve agreed skirr skirrr whoot whoot TFOOH… #teambone”
