Jacquees – Online Petition Launched To Ban Him From Covering Songs

Online Petition To Ban Jacquees From Covering Music Launches
An online petition launched at Change.org for Jacquees to stop covering songs has been organized by a person named Ricky Fields. Fields has asked people to sign the growing petition, affirming that,
As a Black Community, we have to figure out how we getting rid of Jacquees.
Jacquees has not received the largest support from the pubic after redeeming himself the King R&B and after apparently, disrespecting Keith Sweat. The crooner has released multiple covers to classics and new hits such as Ella Mai’s “Trip,” Chris Brown‘s “This Christmas,” Daniel Caesar‘s “Get You,” and Michael Jackson‘s “Dirty Diana.”
The petition was launched last Friday (Dec. 21) and has garnered more than 25,000 signatures of it’s current 33,000 goal. While his cover for “Trip” was snatched off the Internet, various petition signers have weighed why they support the ban of Jacquees.
One person wrote,
I can’t knock his hustle….but I’m definitely knocking the sound of his hustle.
Another chimed in,
He must be stopped by all means
While another added,
I can’t take it anymore, his blatant disrespect for real r&b music is unreal and he has to be stopped immediately.
Another signer stated,
He’s becoming irritating and his talent is now overlooked because of all the wild shit he’s doing
The petition can be viewed here.
