Pleasure P Gets Charged With Reckless Driving, DUI, & Driving W/ Suspended License, Singer Denies Driving Recklessly – The Law Is Going To Say What They Want!
R&B singer and “Love & Hip-Hop: Miami” star Pleasure P was arrested around 3:45 AM Friday (Dec. 28) morning for driving recklessly, after celebrating his 34th birthday. According to Miami Beach police, an officer – in a marked vehicle – observed an illegally tinted SUV traveling 100 MPH in a 45 MPH zone, almost crashing into another vehicle.
Once the officer pulled the singer over, they ordered him to get out of the SUV due to the illegal tint. From then on, officers claim Pleasure failed to comply with sobriety tests while on the scene. The police report says Pleasure had slurred speech, bloodshot and watery eyes, and even admitted to having a few alcoholic beverages to celebrate his birthday. His blood-alcohol levels were reportedly documented to be .176 and .175, double the legal limit.
Once refusing the tests, authorities claim Pleasure requested he get in touch with his lawyer, have the opportunity to call former NBA Miami Heat player Shaquille O’Neal and rapper Flo Rida. The reality star was taken to jail on charges of resisting an officer without violence, driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, and reckless driving.
Pleasure was released from jail around 5:30 PM on Friday. Since his arrest, Pleasure has responded to reports him being arrested. In a post and delete, Pleasure denied,
“Hey, listen. I’m all about safe driving, all that stuff. Recklessly driving was I? Not at all, but people are gonna say what they want to say … the officer who pulled me over, he’s gonna say what he wants to say but that’s not the truth. And we still getting lit. Round two today, turn up.
It was recently confirmed by Omarion, Pleasure P’s early 2000s boy group Pretty Ricky will be joining B2K on their reunion tour in 2019.
