Cardi B Says Jussie Smollet Ruined Black History Month, Ava Duvernay – I Won’t Blindly Believe Chicago Police

With every development, social media has reacted in uproar in regards to the alleged racist/homophobic attack against “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett. Several celebrities – including comedian Kevin Hart, and Jussie’s “Empire” castmates – came to his defense, releasing statements of support to the media.

He even sat down with Robin Roberts for an exclusive “Good Morning America” interview.

However, recent news alleges that he may have completely staged the attack – paying Nigerian brothers to attack him on camera.

Grammy Award-winning rapper Cardi B wasn’t shy about sharing her disappointment in news that Jussie may have lied to the public. In an Instagram Live stream, she said:

“I’m really disappointed in Jussie Smollett- whatever the f*ck his name is. I’m really disappointed in him. I feel like he f*cked Black History Month, bro. Godd*mn. I’m not gonna say yet- until he say it out his mouth that it was fake and this sh*t was staged, I don’t wanna completely blame him, because somebody I was talking to- they said police in Chicago are racist. So they might probably trying to frame him, and make him look like he’s a liar. But if he’s not, then, bro, you f*cked up, forreal. Like, why would you do that? Like, you ain’t have to do that. Then, you gave f*cking Donald Trump immunity to f*cking laugh at n*ggas and sh*t. [You’ make m*=otherf*ckers look bad. Sh*t brazy, bro.”

However, “A Wrinkle in Time” director, Ava Duvernay, doesn’t find the Chicago police department trustworthy enough to believe

Jussie formulated a hoax. She tweeted:

“Despite the inconsistencies, I can’t blindly believe Chicago PD. The department that covered up shooting Laquan McDonald over a dozen times? That operated an off-site torture facility? That one? I’ll wait. Whatever the outcome, this won’t stop me from believing others. It can’t.”

One of her followers challenged Ava on how she could find Jussie Smollett’s story believable in the first place. She stressed that her gripe is with CPD.
