Gayle King – I Walked In On My Ex Husband Naked In Bed W/ My Friend!

CBS anchor Gayle King lived a real life enactment of the Tamar Braxton song, “My Man!” Oprah Winfrey’s bestie recently revealed that she walked in on her ex-husband, William Bumpus, naked in bed with one of her friends. When discussing Galye’s hesitance to making new friends, Oprah said:

“I think you may be scarred. Remember you had that friend who slept with your husband, and when you found her, you said, ‘I thought you were my friend!'”

Gayle finished the story:

“She said, ‘I never liked you!'”

Ouch! Gayle King originally detailed her ex’s infidelity in 2006. He later stated in an interview,

“I have been haunted with this life-altering choice. Though I have dealt with this privately, I publicly apologize for the major transgression that dramatically changed all of our lives.”

He continued:

“I have nothing but the utmost respect for Gayle and how she handled herself with grace. Despite the situation, she kept our children, as well as my relationship and involvement with them, as a clear priority. Gayle was a great wife, an excellent mother, and a fantastic co-parent. I am eternally grateful for all that she has done and continues to do to enrich my life and the lives of our incredible adult children.”

William Bumpus and Gayle King jumped the broom in 1982, and divorced in 1993.
