It was almost four years ago, at the 2015 MTV VMAs, that rapper Nicki Minaj and singer Miley Cyrus had one of the most awkward moments ever seen on the award show. Minaj uttered the infamous line, “Miley, what’s good?” and a years-long feud ensued between the two women. However, it appears as though that’s all in the past now, based on a new social media post shared by Cyrus.

Let’s do a quick rewind in case you forgot what started the drama between Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus in the first place. While accepting her award for Best Hip-Hop Video that year, Minaj looked directly at Cyrus (who was hosting) and said,

“Back to this b*tch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what’s good?”

Cyrus, from the other side of the stage, replied with,

“Hey, we’re all in this industry, we all do interviews and we all know how they manipulate s**t. Nicki, congratu-f**king-lations.”

Cyrus capped off her response with some shady body language and a well-placed eyeroll.

What caused that outburst is that Minaj didn’t appreciate comments that Cyrus made about her in an interview just before the awards, where she was asked about the beef between Minaj and Taylor Swift. In that interview Cyrus said:

“What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind.”

So, by the time they saw each other, years of sniping at each other passive aggressively blew up on the MTV VMAs stage.

Fast forward almost four years later and Cyrus, perhaps riding high off her new marriage and image, has apparently buried the hatchet with Minaj. She posted a video on Instagram of the two of them to celebrate International Women’s Day from when they presented at the 2015 Grammy Awards. The caption for the video read,

“We all love to see women on top.”

Minaj responded to Cyrus extending virtual the olive branch by showing her some love in the comments, courtesy of a collection of heart emojis.
