Nipsey Hussle Died of Gunshots To The Head & Torso – Shooting Caught on Surveillance Cameras
LAPD Assembling “Manhunt” for Nispey Hussle’s Murderer, Shooting Caught on Surveillance Cameras
Nipsey Hussle died of gunshot wounds to the head and torso, the L.A. County Coroner’s Office confirmed on Monday. The coroner’s office performed the autopsy on Monday afternoon, and confirmed that the manner of death was a homicide. The city of Los Angeles is diligently seeking justice for slain rapper Nipsey Hussle. The beloved LA native was tragically shot in front of his clothing store, Marathon Clothing, yesterday afternoon. (3/31/19) Since then, an outpouring of mourning has erupted both in the streets and on social media from fans, followers, and fellow celebrities.
Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman Lizeth Lomeli told The Hollywood Reporter that a “manhunt” for Nipsey’s killer is underway with “all hands on deck.” LA Mayor Eric Garcetti even offered his condolences. He said:
“Our hearts are with the loved ones of Nipsey Hussle and everyone touched by this awful tragedy. L.A. is hurt deeply each time a young life is lost to senseless gun violence. My Crisis Response Team is assisting the families coping with shock and grief.”
Surveillance footage from a business nearby to his store just may help LAPD find the shooter sooner than we expected. A person in a white shirt is seen falling to the ground in the footage. Nipsey was said to have been wearing a white shirt moments before he was shot.
Notably, LAPD Police Commissioner Steve Soboroff took to Twitter to express condolences for the rapper’s family and fans, and revealed that he was scheduled to meet with Nipsey and the RocNation team to discuss violence in his neighborhood, where he was ironically killed. Steve tweeted:
“We (@LAPDChiefMoore and I) were meeting , at the request of @NipseyHussle with him and @rocnation tomorrow at 4pm to talk about ways he could help stop gang violence and help us help kids. I’m so very sad”
Commissioner Soboroff, then, made a promise to continue the work Nipsey was passionate about.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, and fans of Nipsey Hussle. May he rest in peace.
