Ariana Grande Reveals Brain Scan Showing PTSD: This Is NOT A Joke!
Pop star Ariana Grande has had a whirlwind past couple of years, and it shows – literally! The “Thank U, Next” singer recently posted a text message thread showing the results of a recent brain scan she had done. The pictured diagram shows photos of both a healthy brain and a brain where the person suffers from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Illuminated spots in the brain indicate PTSD. Ariana’s brain scan shows much larger surface areas affected by PTSD.
Her caption reads:
“hilarious and terrifying…not a joke”

Ariana later posted a follow-up message calming concerned fans. She said:
“didn’t mean to startle anyone with my brain thingy. it just blew me away. i found it informative and interesting and wanted to encourage y’all to make sure you check on your brains / listen to your bodies / take care of yourselves too.”
She later assured that she was making her mental health a priority:
“i am constantly working on my health / learning how to process pain (aren’t we all). everyday is different but i’m doing my best.”

What could a famous singer/actress whose albums are topping the charts and breaking records possibly be this stressed out about? Ariana Grande has endured a string of tragedies over the past couple of years. In 2017, 22 people were killed in a terrorist bombing at her concert in Manchester, U.K.
Not much later, in September of last year, her ex-boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller, died of a drug overdose. Soon after, she broke off her engagement with her then-fiance “Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson to focus on healthily grieving.
We’re wishing Ariana Grande lots of love and positivity as she continues to heal.
