Wendy Williams Fires Kevin Hunter As Executive Producer Of Talk Show, Gives Him 48 Hours To Move From Home
Updated 4p EST: New developments about Kevin Hunter’s involvement on the Wendy Williams show have been released. According to reports, he has been fired as executive producer and was allegedly given 48 hours to remove his belongings from their New Jersey home. Reportedly, a $215K Ferrari that he bought his allegedly baby mama (Sherena Hudson) has been removed from his possession.
Earlier today, we reported that there was a chance that Wendy Williams’ estranged husband, Kevin Hunter, would no longer be serving as an executive producer at the Wendy Williams Show in the near future. The talk show was created and hosted by Wendy Williams and produced by Wendy Williams Productions and distributed by Debmar-Mercury. The show aired starting July 14, 2008 in select major U.S. markets and July 13, 2009 nationwide.
The show’s executive producers include Kevin Hunter Sr, along with Wendy, David Perler, Suzanne Bass and Talia Parkinson-Jones.
According to reports, there were plans to have Kevin step down and he and Wendy were currently working on an agreement to have him step down.
This news comes less than a week from Wendy filing for divorce. Earlier today, Kevin released a statement apologizing publicly to Wendy.
“28 years ago I met an amazing woman: Wendy Williams. At the time, I didn’t realize that she would not only become my wife, but would also change the face of entertainment and the world. I have dedicated most of our lives to the business empire that is Wendy Williams Hunter, a person that I truly love and respect unconditionally. I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family and her amazing fans. I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs.”
He adds,
No matter what the outcome is or what the future holds, we are still The Hunter Family and I will continue to work with and fully support my wife in this business and through any and all obstacles she may face living her new life of sobriety, while I also work on mine. I ask that you please give me and my family privacy as we heal. Thank you.”
Wendy seemingly referenced her broken marriage on her talk show Monday.
Williams, 54, and Hunter, 46, wed on Nov. 30, 1997. They have a 19-year-old son Kevin Jr.
Rumors of infidelity plagued Kevin. Neither have yet to reveal what ended their marriage.
