Magic Johnson’s Daughter Elisa Johnson Reveals Painful Scars She Received From Home Invasion [Photo]

Home invasions are one of the most frightening crimes to be a victim of—and unfortunately, they have been steadily on the rise in recent years. One person who managed to escape a home invasion is Magic Johnson’s daughter, Elisa Johnson, who experienced the terrifying incident late last year. Now, she’s proudly showing off the scars she suffered during the attack in a new photo.

Back in December 2018, Elisa Johnson was one of the victims of a horrifying home invasion. Johnson and about 10 of her friends were staying at an Airbnb in San Fernando Valley when they found themselves terrorized by two armed men. According reports at the time of the incident, it was unclear how the men got inside the home, but fortunately Johnson was able to escape without being harmed. However, she did sustain injuries when she escaped to safety through a sliding glass door in the back of the home after hearing the disturbance while she was in the bedroom.

Nearly six months after the armed robbery, Johnson is showing off the scars she sustained for the first time via a new post on her Instagram. In the photo, she is seen wearing a black sports bra, black jeans and sunglasses, as her abdomen is exposed showing her scars.

She detailed her feelings about the way her body looks post-incident, writing:

“As women we tend to be very hard on ourselves. Months ago, I escaped from a home invasion and in the process I was left with intense scaring on my stomach. Until now I’ve been so afraid to show these scars, and incredibly insecure about the way I look. But I now realize these scars are a part of my journey, and tell the story of who I am. I love my body, and I am proud to be in the place I am today. ? #selfhealing”

The suspects in the home invasion reportedly stole a Rolex watch among other jewelry, electronics and cash. They reportedly stole between $30,000 and $40,000 worth of possessions. Luckily, one of the men was arrested due to neighborhood surveillance video.
