Trayvon Martin’s Mom, Sybrina Fulton, Hosts Retreat For Mothers Who Lost Children To Gun Violence
Trayvon Martin’s mother is still using her voice to help other mothers who have lost their children to gun violence. Sybrina Fulton hosted a Circle of Mothers retreat this weekend. Fulton experienced the pain of losing someone to gun violence firsthand after her son was shot and killed at 17-years-old.

George Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon and was later acquitted.

Still, Fulton has been making moves to serve as a voice for other mothers who have had to bury someone close to them because of gun violence. And her Circle of Mothers retreat is her latest initiative. She posted a photo of her with other women who attended the event.
“Circle of Mothers Retreat is underway. The purpose of Circle of Mothers is to bring together mothers who have lost children to senseless gun violence for the purpose of healing, empowerment, and fellowship towards the larger aim of community building.#circleofmothers2019#trayvonmartinfoundation“
The event featured goodies from Oprah magazine, Puma, and a book by late poet and activist Maya Angelou.

Kudos to Ms. Fulton!
