Rihanna Returns To The Studio, Teases Fans: Where’s The Album? [VIDEO]

Fans of Rihanna have desperately asked the Roc Nation singer for new music since her last studio album “Anti,” release nearly 3 and half years ago. Over the weekend, Rihanna shared a small update on the progress of a new album in her own way. In the video, the Grammy award winning singer is seen apparently working on music at 5am, wearing a pair of her own Fenty shades that retail for more than $400. She captions the video,

The ‘Anti’ singer’s last album dropped in the winter of 2016, selling nearly 250,000 copies in its first week. The album’s most successful numbers were from Tidal with over 1.4 million copies downloaded. The number one album grabbed a Grammy nomination for Beat Urban Contemporary Album as well.

The Fenty Beaty mogul has continued to have fun with her lighthearted teasers over the years. The singer gave one particular fan in December of 2018 an update on when new music should be released. One fan asks,

”But when is the album dropping Robyn? Can we have a release date for that?”

Rihanna simply responds,

”2019.”

As previously reported, with Rihanna domination in the music and beauty industry, now she has made her mark in the fashion world as she is the the first woman of color to launch a high fashion brand with LVMH. The house launched in a pop-up store on May 22, 2019 in Paris, before launching worldwide online on May 29 and includes clothing and accessories such as sunglasses and footwear etc.

The fashion brand has been described as groundbreaking and in a statement regarding the launch, Rihanna said that she had been given a

“unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits.”
