Remy Ma Teases New Music, Approaches End Of Her Parole Sentence
Rapper Remy Ma may have returned to the music scene with her memorable “All the Way Up” verse, but she’s reflecting on a time she was all the way down.
In 2014, Remy (real name, Reminisce Smith) was released from prison after serving a six-year sentence for involvement in a 2007 shooting. The mother, wife, and reality TV star is now approaching the end of her parole, and hints that she’s celebrating with new music. She posted a photo dressed up in a utility suit and braids in the fashion of Queen Latifah‘s “Set It Off” character, Cleo. Her Instagram caption read:
“@remyma The wait is almost over #RemyMa #OffParole”

She limited the Instagrammers able to comment on the post, but replied to several about her situation.

However, she is facing new legal woes. Remy Ma was recently hit with four charges connected to the alleged assault of her former “Love and Hip Hop: New York” castmate, Brittney Taylor.
